QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MIAMI HOUSE

Is there a reception desk?

There is a service desk in the lobby, staffed on weekdays (Monday to Friday) by our house manager, who will be happy to assist you with services, questions, or support.

Are bed linen and towels included in the apartments?

You decide whether you bring your own bed linen and towels or simply book two sets for your stay. You have the option of washing them in our laundry.

Is there Wifi or Internet?

Internet is of course included over the entire building. What’s special here is that you get access to your own virtual network so that your devices can communicate with each other. Practical for Wi-Fi speakers and printers, of course.

Where can I do my laundry?

There are plenty of washing machines and dryers available in our launderette, the Laundry, which you can use at any time by paying a modest fee via an app. The app also shows you which machines are free and the remaining time of your washing and drying programme.

How many people can stay in an apartment?

Due to their size, the apartments are only intended for one person, i.e. they may not be used by more than one person. Only the Ocean+ apartment is equipped with a queen-size bed and can be occupied by a maximum of 2 people.

Can I borrow a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board?

Of course. These household appliances are available and can be borrowed free of charge.

Wi-Fi speakers and printers, of course. What exercise facilities does MIAMI HOUSE offer?

You can keep fit around the clock in our gym. Equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, steppers, rowers, dumbbell benches and weight machines are available for your work-out. If you prefer a sport with a little more finesse, then meet up in the lounge for a round of pool or a classic game.

Are pets allowed?

Please understand that pets are not allowed for reasons of hygiene.

Is there a kitchen in every apartment?

Whether large or small, all apartments are equipped with a small kitchenette, i.e. with a fridge and freezer compartment, a microwave with grill function, tableware and cutlery. MIAMI House also has two fully equipped communal kitchens that you can use at any time. Should you ever want to cook or bake, our two fully equipped kitchens are always at your disposal.

How often are the apartments cleaned?

Each apartment is cleaned by us once a month. If you would like an extended cleaning service, you can book this at any time.

Can I receive post at MIAMI House?

There are no separate letterboxes. If you are expecting important mail or have a parcel sent to you, our House Manager will be happy to receive it for you. You can then collect it from them during service hours. Alternatively, there are also many parcel drop-off points in the immediate vicinity.

Are there parking spaces at MIAMI House?

There are bicycle racks behind the house, and we are preparing the underground car park for the rental of car parking spaces. If you are interested in a car parking space, simply contact us.

BOOKING QUESTIONS

What rental period is possible?

As a rule, you can book our apartments from a term of one month up to 6 months.

Would you like to stay with us for just a few days or a few weeks? Depending on availability, we also offer this option. Please feel free to inquire.

When do I pay for my stay?

The accommodation costs for the first month, as well as any selected services and cleaning fees, are due immediately after booking. You will receive a separate email for payment immediately after booking. For stays longer than one month, all subsequent accommodation costs are due monthly and will be billed in advance in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Check-in

Check-in can take place from 15:00 on the first day of booking. If you wish to check in earlier, we will try to make this possible, provided the apartment is ready for occupancy. Just get in touch with us.

Corporate clients

We are open to co-operations with companies about apartment allocations with possible preferential rates. Please contact us if required.

Is it possible to view the different apartments before moving in?

We are happy to arrange viewings of available apartments. Simply contact our House Manager.

Security deposit

For stays of 27 nights or more, a deposit of EUR 980 per room and stay must be paid no later than 10 days before check-in. The deposit will be refunded immediately after check-out or within 4 weeks.

Additional services

We offer additional services for your stay, such as two sets of towels and bed linen, a set of hair dryers and kettles, additional room cleaning, parking spaces, etc., at reasonable prices. For short stays of up to 14 days, a linen set and electrical set are included.

Check-out

Don’t worry, you can sleep in and still have breakfast. Our check-out is possible until 11:00 am.

My plans have changed, can I cancel my stay?

Since MIAMI HOUSE is aimed at long-stay guests and rooms are rented on a monthly basis, free cancellation after booking is unfortunately no longer possible. Once the booking offer has been accepted, 95% of the total price is due in the event of cancellation.

Are all taxes and other costs included in the room price?

All prices are inclusive of VAT. For apartments rented for less than two months, the culture and tourism tax (KTT) applicable in Hamburg must be paid in addition to the rent.

The broadcasting licence fee for the apartments is usually paid by MIAMI HOUSE. If you are registered at the address of MIAMI HOUSE, you must pay the broadcasting licence fee in addition to the rent.

Final cleaning

When you check in, the apartment will of course be spotless so that you feel comfortable right from the start. We want to ensure the same condition after you move out, for which we charge a small flat fee at the beginning of your stay. We will, of course, inform you of the exact amount of the flat fee, which can be up to EUR 150 depending on the size of your flat, before you make your booking.
